The Utah Horn Club serves as the central gathering point for French‑horn enthusiasts across the state. As the Utah chapter of the International Horn Society (IHS), it hosts a vibrant community of players—from students to seasoned professionals—who come together to learn, perform, and celebrate all things horn.
Over the years, the Club has built a rich tradition of signature events, most notably, its annual Utah Horn Days. Each year, the Utah Horn Club partners with a local university to cohost this event (utah, Valley University, Snow College, BYU, and the university of Utah), that feature renown faculty, and guest professionals for masterclasses, horn choirs, ensemble performances, panel discussions, and vendor showcases.
The Club also embraces Utah Alphorn Day, a unique summer gathering—often at locations like Stewart Falls (Provo, UT)—where members hike and play horn in extraordinary natural acoustics. During the holiday season, members participate in horn caroling, performing festive choral music in horn ensembles at local venues.
In essence, the Utah Horn Club builds community around the horn—offering musical growth, fellowship, and unforgettable performance opportunities for horn players throughout Utah and the wider region.
