Get ready for an unforgettable two-day celebration of all things Horn at the Southwest Regional Horn Workshop, to be held January 30 - 31, 2026, in Orem, Utah! As Adjunct Professor of Horn at Utah Valley University, and on behalf of the UVU Horn Studio, the Utah Horn Club, and the International Horn Society, we are so excited to invite you to this amazing event. Throughout the workshop, dive into rich experiences—from masterclasses and interactive coaching to expert-led panels on subjects including “Composing for the Horn," "College Prep for Musicians" ​(for both undergraduate and graduate students), "Horns and Creativity," and “Wellness and Horn Playing," that will focus on performance efficiency to injury prevention. These sessions are built for hornists of all ages and backgrounds—high schoolers, university students, educators, professionals, and enthusiasts alike—designed to help you unlock your full potential, no matter where you are on your musical journey.

Interested in Performing at SRHW2026?

Registered participants of the Southwest Region Horn Workshop 2026 are invited to apply to play in one of our masterclasses or perform in one of our scheduled recitals. Soloist, chamber, ensembles, and horn-focused groups are welcome. Completed applications must be received by December 28th, 2026. Applicants accepted will be notified shortly thereafter.
